Honda India has finally launched the Hornet 2.0 in India. A few days back, Honda had dropped a teaser video of the Hornet 2.0 that revealed some key details of this new bike without disclosing its name.
Now it has been named as “Honda Hornet 2.0” which is based upon Honda CB 190R although the design has been changed and look more elegant and stylish. Honda has used LED lights all around the motorcycle.
There is a new LED headlamp with a position lamp, LED side blinkers, USD forks come in golden colour at the front, engine stop switch. The Key ignition you’ll find on the bulky tank that can hold up to 12 liters of fuel, it comes with a split seat.
The Digital instrument cluster gets a voltmeter, gear position indicator and service due indicator.
Honda has boost up the engine figures up to a 184.4cc Air-cooled engine that churns out 17.26 hp of power and 16.1 Nm making it slightly more powerful than its previous CB Hornet. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In comparison with Apache 200 4V which has 197cc and churns out 20.2 BHP at 16.8 Nm that’s impressive. The Hornet 2.0 will reach dealerships near you from the first week of September.
The braking power is handled by a 276mm petal disc in front and a 220mm rear disc and comes with a single-channel ABS only.
Honda Hornet 2.0 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1,26,345/- (ex-showroom) Well looking at Apache 200 4v it looked overpriced as it comes Rs 1,000 less and Dual-channel ABS and more powerful figures.
