Xiaomi and Oppo assemble most of their models in India
Well Looking at the Amid Tension between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Chinese technology firms like Xiaomi and Oppo are finding it difficult to get approvals for their products from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), India’s quality control agency.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has in recent weeks stop processing applications from “non-Indian manufactures” and delayed approvals for mobile phone components and televisions, jeopardizing the plans of Xiaomi as well as Oppo.

Mainly Xiaomi & Oppo depends on outsourcing the components from China and assembles it in India for Final product outcome. This way it saves time and help in saving money rather than making the component in India will be a more ineffective and more expensive deal for the Chinese firms.
Chinese smartphone brands, including Oppo & Xiaomi, account for eight of every 10 smartphones sold in India. While the two companies assemble most of their models in India, several components are imported from China.
