Why Mi A3 is a worst Smartphone from Xiaomi?

Xiaomi phones are the most selling smartphone and are also the most trustable smartphone brand in India but when it comes to the stock Android operating system then you can’t trust this brand. Xiaomi Mi A3 has again fallen in the jaws of bugs which turned this smartphone into a nightmare for some users.

What is an Android one Smartphone?  In case you don’t know, Xiaomi Mi A series is just like any other Xiaomi Smartphone which packs super battery, a better camera, an awesome display which is the uniqueness of Xiaomi Smartphone but unlikely any other Xiaomi Smartphone it’s the only one which purely runs on a near-stock version of the Android operating system released by Google while other runs on MIUI which is Xiaomi operating system. The Android one program  Smartphone guarantees you to receive at least two years of OS upgrades and 3 years of the security update.

So what’s holding back Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone becoming the greatest Smartphone of all, let me tell you it is the overall experience. The phone has been criticized for its software by users around the world. First, Xiaomi delayed the Mi A3 Android 10 update and when the users found the Android 10 update it was full of bugs, the company has once again pulled back the Android 10 update and the users are not happy with it. Mostly it the third time with Mi A3 the same case has been followed with Mi A1 and Mi A2 back then.

Buggy History of Xiaomi Mi A’s Series

Xiaomi Mi A2 –  As per the reports After rolling out Android 10 update for Mi A2 the company seemingly pulled this build a few days after it went live. Some people stated that the build contained a host of bugs

Xiaomi Mi A2 lite – The Android 10 update for the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite was initially suspended after reports of Android 10 updates started bricking the devices. It proved to be quite hard for users to unbrick their devices.

Xiaomi Mi A1 – It all started with this phone as reported the Android 8.0 Oreo version roll out with a bug that wipes entire SMS history and reported issue with battery drain which leads Xiaomi pulled the update twice.

Being an Android one Smartphone guarantees you to receive at least two years of OS upgrades but here Mi A3 is still running Android Pie from 2018 whereas other Android one smartphones already got bug-less Android 10 update meanwhile Mi A3 still struggling to get the latest Android 10 bug-free update. However, the Chinese variant of the device Xiaomi Mi CC9 pro which runs on MIUI received the Android 10 update on the day Google officially launched it

Moreover, the company has never delivered monthly security patches on time and Android 10 stable updates which has been rolled back with April 2020 security patch on Mi A3. The Bugs/issue reported by Mi A3 users; Random reboots, Excessive battery drains, Camera and UI lag, Fingerprint sensor issue, etc.

Here’s what Random Xiaomi Mi A3 users have to say on this issue;

“I’m using this phone Mi A3 the last update used 8 April then mobile are not properly working and sometime hang, display not work properly and setting dysfunctional problem happened. This big mistake happened after update Android 10 … please give me help for solve this problem”

“Yes please help us. This time the android version update makes my phone like Heater. My phone gets some stupid thing doing like Fingerprint Thumbs Blows again and again sometimes my phone did not open Phone get heated application get closed screen get Off Phone get Restart..! Help plz”

“We went from 32s to 1/4s apparently, the main reason for using my MI A3 is photography and this is really annoying, specially when you pay 250$. (Guess its a waste)”

Remember the phone is as good as its software but if the software is buggy no matter how lucrative the features are apparently it’s a waste. We all agree Xiaomi produces amazing features and value for money smartphone but we also know that the stock Android OS is not a cup of tea for Xiaomi, the company should stick to MIUI only and should leave near-stock Android one Smartphone for other OEM manufacturer.
