The Redmi Note 5 will be equipped with a new Snapdragon 632 SoC especially designed for Dual-Camera setup
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is happening while previously it was rumored to dropping the idea of Note branding this year, in simple terms, there would be no successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 smartphone but the new report suggest it won’t be happening anytime soon. Xiaomi will definitely launch the Redmi Note 5 this year.
It won’t be easy to wipe out the most popular Smartphone of India like this but instead, now it will come with the upgraded specs and will be priced higher, the launch will happen sometime in Q2 2018 which mean you need to wait for long.
Xiaomi is said to be internally testing the Redmi Note 5 with Snapdragon 632 SoC and waiting for Qualcomm to release the octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC, this is why Xiaomi is taking much time to launch Redmi Note 5. The Snapdragon 632 will be clocked lowered to 1.8GHz and the accompanying GPU will also take a hit. This particular processor comes with better support and optimisation for dual camera setup.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will have 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal storage with support for expanding storage capacity through microSD card. The back will be occupied by the dual-camera setup with two 12-megapixel sensors for Depth and portrait mode along with fingerprint scanner.
It should retain 4000mAh battery just like its predecessor and would like to see the support for fast charging. The Redmi Note 5 smartphone is expected to be priced around 1,599 Yuan ($245)
