One Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Owner Unexpectedly Receives Android 8.0 Oreo Update
As we know Samsung still testing Galaxy Note 8 with the Oreo Beat update and hasn’t released a stable version of Android Oreo yet but one lucky Note 8 owner posted screenshots of a Galaxy Note 8 model (SM-N950F) that recently received an update to Android Oreo on Reddit, Shocking!
This suggests that Samsung is closer to roll out Android Oreo Stable for Galaxy Note 8 Globally. The device shown in the picture is an Exynos model of Galaxy Note 8 which is available globally. While other variants of Galaxy Note 8 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that’s sold in China and the US.
The Exynos-powered Note 8 update carries a build number of R16NW.N950FXXU2CRA1.DM, and comes with January Android security patch. Samsung still hasn’t confirmed anything on when Galaxy Note 8 Oreo stable update will roll out.
Samsung still in the process of optimizing Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus and while the after launch Note 8 starts receiving the Android Oreo stable update that’s strange.
It remains to see that the spotted OTA package was launched by a mistake or Samsung’s software support practices are changing in 2018 as no other owners of the Galaxy Note 8 have claimed to have received the Android Oreo update yet.
