Moto X4 vs Mi A1 the two Dual-Camera Smartphone battle it out
Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its new smartphone in India today – “The Moto X4” Previously it was reported to launch under Google Android one program just like Mi A1 but in India, Motorola has launched it without the Android One branding. Still, Moto X4 dual camera capabilities make it a perfect Dual contender for Xiaomi Mi A1.
Display & Design.
Moto X4 comes with flagship like Design, the smartphone features an anodized aluminum frame, and 3D contoured front and back glass design. On the other side, Xiaomi Mi A1 has a premium design, with top-notch metal construction.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 has a bigger Display compare to Moto X4 about 5.5inch with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution while Moto X4 features 5.2 inches, LTPS IPS with 1920 x 1080 p resolution both the devices come protected with the Gorilla Glass.
Processor.
Moto X is using an upgradable Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor while Xiaomi loves for Snapdragon 625 continuous for Mi A1. There won’t be much difference in term of performances.
Camera.
Mi A1 comes with 12MP + 12MP, one with wide-angle and other 12mp with telephoto lenses and dual tone LED flash, 4K @ 30fps. While, Moto X4 comes with 12MP (dual auto-focus) + 8MP (ultra wide), dual tone, 4K @ 30fps. Although the Moto X4 comes with additional camera features like a selective background mode that lets you keep the subject in focus while the background is black and white, or vice-versa
The Moto X4 camera performs gently but has a shutter lag, it takes time to process portrait Mode images and finishing of bokeh effects is not as good as Mi A1 but its performs fairly well in low light which Mi A1 doesn’t.
The big Difference come in the front where the Moto X4 is equipped with a 16-megapixel snapper with flash at the front, and f/2.0 aperture and Mi A1 has an only 5MP front shooter, here the right contender would be the Mi Note 3.

Final Verdict
The Differences between these two Dual-Camera smartphones are very less, Somehow Moto X4 looks to be a better Deal as it has been designed like flagship Smartphone quality with aluminum frame and front-back glass design and fast charging support and IP 68 Rating gives X4 a gentle push over the Mi A1 but these features are not as such lucrative that user pay extra Rs 8,000. The Xiaomi Mi A1 looks more value for Money device here while Moto X4 looks to be overpriced at Rs 22,999. Will Xiaomi has the perfect contender for Moto X4 and that is none other than Mi Note 3 with better specs and feature, we wish Xiaomi should listen to us and launch it soon as possible in India market.
