OnePlus is gearing to launch the OnePlus 3 successor very soon going by the leaks the testing on OnePlus 5 has already started. A OnePlus device with the model number A5000 has been spotted in the database of China’s Radio Regulation Authority.

Well that because earlier OnePlus 3 had the model number A3000 and the 3T was A3010, it then stands to reason that the next handset in the line will be OnePlus 5. It also means that OnePlus 4 is likely to be skipped as in China, the number ‘4’ is considered unlucky, and is perceived synonymous to the words ‘death’ or ‘decease.’

A Chinese publication PCPop recently revealed that the OnePlus 5 could feature 8GB of RAM, and be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. This would place the OnePlus 5 against heads on with Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

It is also said that the OnePlus 5 will feature a dual-curved edge display, just like the one on Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge, and the latest Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ while it will come with sleek design with thinner bezels and also ditch the aluminum body, for the ceramic body like the Xiaomi Mi MIX.

In the photography, it is rumored to sport a 23-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and to be fuelled with a 4,000mAh battery along with the company’s Dash Charge technology running on Android 7.0

This time OnePlus is rumored to price the OnePlus 5 a little higher for Rs 35000 ($522) for base price and going up to Rs 40000 ($600) What’s your take on it drop your comment below
