Tesla is well renowned Company for producing electric sports
sedan with a powerful torque more than enough and at a same time pretty much
friendly towards the environment. Tesla is a king when it’s come to powerful
electric engine but soon Porsche is gearing to challenge Tesla kingdom.

As Porsche has
announced it will begin work on an all-electric sedan, which stems from the
Mission E concept car released by the German company earlier in the year. The
Porsche’s board has voted to send the Mission E into production by the end of
the decade.
Porsche revealed today that the vehicle has indeed been
given the green light for production.
“Even in a greatly changing motoring world, Porsche will
maintain its front-row position with this fascinating sports car,” said Porsche

“Even with solely battery-powered sports cars, Porsche is
remaining true to its philosophy and offering our customers the sportiest and

The car will feature two electric motors with a total of 600
horsepower – located on each axle. Those 600 horses will give the car enough
juice to go from 0-62 in 3.5 seconds. A new 800-volt charging system will allow
drivers a driving range distance of 310 miles. The system will also allow for
shorter charging times.
Along with the production of the car, Porsche is also
planning on expanding their engine factory to make room for electric motors and
building a new assemby plant – a $762 million investment over the next few
years that will be dedicated to the Mission E and their next generation of sports
Porsche says that the Mission E’s lithium-ion battery pack
is good for roughly 310 miles per charge. In addition, the vehicle can be
hooked up to an 800-volt charger that can give the battery 250 miles of range
in just 15 minutes.
